What makes them so different and why should you care?
Do you care how your music sounds? Do you know that when your master is duplicated at 32X it sounds bad or at least not as good as your master?
32 X means that your audio was duplicated at 32 TIMES FASTER than real time. What is real time?
If you have a 64 minute master – here’s a chart for how long depending on duplication speed
- 1X burn speed = 64 minutes – that’s REAL TIME
- 2X burn speed = 32 minutes
- 4X burn speed = 16 minutes
- 8X burn speed = 8 minutes
- 16x burn speed = 4 minutes
- 32 x burn speed = 2 minutes
- 64 x burn speed = 1 minute
In our tests, anything 16x or slower sounds is hard to tell any difference. Once its faster than 16X – the sound quality to the naked ear changes and not for the best. Why is this better for you? When the duplication speeds are faster than 16X, the duplication process is happening so fast that the information is not burned deep into the blank disc which can result in discs that at best don’t sound as good as the master.
You get great sounding CDs from CDmaker because our burn speed is slower than most cd duplication services.
If you’re interested in working with a company that works to provide that kind of service check out CD Duplication Austin.
